The Time is YA is Political Action committee that invests in candidates that align with our

mission and values. 2020 application here, as well as read our FAQs below. To apply, you must

complete the questionnaire, as well as send your resume and headshot to ya@thetimeisya.com.

Solano County applications are due September 13. All candidates are encouraged to apply. If you have questions about our endorsement process that are not answered below, please feel free to contact us at ya@thetimeisya.com.

Q: Who can apply?

​

A: The Time is YA endorses anyone running for office that aligns with our mission and

values. ALL are encouraged to apply. 

​

Q: How do I apply?

​

A: There are four steps in the Time is YA’s endorsement process.

​

     Step 1: Endorsement Questionnaire (estimated time: 30 minutes).

•  All candidates must submit an endorsement questionnaire.

•  The questionnaire asks for each candidate’s basic information and contains questions. 

​

     Step 2: Interview, if invited by the Time is YA (estimated time: 30 minutes)

•  Candidates who demonstrate that their values align with the Time is YA’s values advance to the interview stage. Candidates will be notified of their phone/zoom or skype interview date and time, if applicable.

 

•  The Time is YA board will interview the candidate via conference call, webinar, or Skype. The interview will consist of questions from the board. candidate’s questionnaire, previews candidate forums and new questions from The Time is YA ambassadors.

     Step 3: Endorsement decision and notification

•  The Time is YA board members and ambassadors will vote on the candidate’s endorsement. If the candidate receives an endorsement, the team makes a decision on what direct contributions and in-kind services the Time is YA is able to offer the candidate.

•  The elections chair will notify the candidate of the Time is YA’s endorsement decision specifics of the endorsement.

     Step 4: Announcement

•  The Time is YA will make the endorsement public the following week.

Q: What materials do I need to apply?

​

A: To apply for Time is YA's endorsement, candidates must complete our questionnaire.

Candidates must also send an up-to-date resume and headshot to ya@thetimeisya.com by

September 13, 2020.

Q: When can I apply?

​

A: Candidates may begin applying August 19, 2020 and is due September 13, 2020.

​

Q: What happens after I’m endorsed?

​

A: Following the endorsement decision, the Time is YA will contact the candidate about the

endorsement package decision (what the Time is YA is able to offer in direct contributions, in-

kind services, or both).
